Three Legged Flamingo

Here in the Zen Tiki Lounge we pride ourselves on crafting tiki style drinks with usually 5 or less ingredients. The Three Legged Flamingo departs from that mantra but instead uses easy to find rum and mixers that make a more complicated drink easy to prepare. The combination of Lychee, Maraschino and Passion liquors in this particular blend have become one of our house mixes that we use in multiple other concoctions including a Hemingway Daiquiri. Because every lemon and grapefruit is a little different, the key to this drink is following the recipe and then not hesitating to add more citrus if you feel its too sweet. After two of these you will find out what it feels like to have a leg you can’t control.

1 oz Rum (Barbados)
1/2 oz Rum (Martinique)
1/4 oz Passion Fruit Liqueur
1/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
1/4 oz Lychee Liqour
1 oz Grapefruit Juice (White)
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/3 oz Orgeat Syrup

Combine everything with ice in a mixing glass or shaker and stir well. Pour unstrained into Highball glass. Garnish with skewer of cherry and grapefruit.
