Sea Slug

1.5 ounces Cachaca

1 ounce Honey Liquor like Bareneger

.5 ounce Cointreau or similar orange liquor

1.5 ounces Guanabana or Soursop nectar

.5 ounce fresh Lemon juice

.5 ounce Almond syrup

5 large Mint leaves

3 dashes Lavender bitters

Muddle mint and 1.5 cups crushed ice in a shaker along with a few lemon wedges.  Add all other ingredients and shake well.  Pour unstrained into your favorite mug.  Garnish with a thin lemon wedge sliced halfway down the top to create a slug like creature and add a small mint sprig for antenna.  Beautiful and mysterious.

Inspiration for a nice drink can come from anywhere.  In this case, the juice isle of a local ethnic market was all that was needed.  Guanabana nectar is also known as Soursop and has a flavor like strawberry and pineapple with a banana creaminess.  Grab a can of this nectar and try it in the Sea Slug.

Guanabana or Soursop is grown in tropical regions including South America and Northern Africa.
