339 MOD Palm Springs Invades Bootlegger Tiki

This episode of ZTL podcast was recorded in the dimly lit confines of Bootlegger Tiki, which occupies one of the original Don The Beachcomber locations.  When you visit Palm Springs you wouldn't want to drive too fast down Palm Canyon or you may miss this opportunity to sip on superbly crafted tiki drinks inspired by originals as well as newly concocted libations that show off all that exotic drink culture is known for.  All of us on the podcast crew enjoyed cocktails prepared by head bartender Chad Austin who was nice enough to sit behind the microphone and tell us about the bar, its history and some of the great times you will have at Bootlegger.  Sunshine was particularly enamored with the musical choices, not always exotica as with most tiki bars but you can also expect to hear 80's, hits from many genres and the bar is known to erupt in song when the mood hits patrons just so.  Don't miss a visit to Bootlegger Tiki and the sister coffee location next door, Ernest Coffee.  Serving coffee at 6am daily and Happy Hour starts in the bar at 4pm daily, 365 days a year.

What are you doing October 8-11, 2015?  Clear your calendar.  For that matter, clear the second weekend in October for the next few years.  MOD Palm Springs is a collaboration between Shag (aka Josh Agle) and Rory (Wildsville Man) Snyder.  This third installment of MOD is lining up to be the most fabulous yet.  Rory joins us on this episode of the show to give us details and behind the scenes on Palm Springs biggest fall event, occuring the same weekend as the fall kick off of Moderism week.  By listener request we filled this podcast with as much music as we could squeeze in, an extended version of our usual show.  Enjoy 90 minutes of inebriated conversation as all four ZTL hosts sip cocktails at Bootlegger Tiki with Rory Snyder and Chad Austin.
